Beginning Wednesday, January 26th, AAFC will be offering a Monthly Foster Parent Support Group that will take place on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The support group will meet at the Family Resource Center located at 817 N. Country Club Drive in Mesa from 6 to 8pm. Experienced foster parents as well as parents who are just beginning the process to become a foster parent are encouraged to come and discuss challenges they are facing and participate in the group. It is our hope that as a group we will be able to encourage one another and give advice to each other. Foster parenting is not a journey that shouls be taken alone.
We plan to have a support group for children over age 10 that will take place at the same time and child care for children under age 10 will also be available. Cost for both is $1 per child.
