HCR 2050 is a bill that would ask voters to alter the tobacco tax funding for First Things First that was passed by voters at the ballot in 2006. This bill is being heard on Monday, February 22, at 2pm in the House Education Committee. Representative Richard Crandall from Mesa is the prime sponsor of the bill and teh Chair of the Committee.
If HCR 2050 is passed by the House and the Sentate, it would put proposed changes on the 2010 general election ballot in November. The proposed changes to First Things First include:
