According to the U.S. Department of Education, if you read to your child from infancy until age five for 30 minutes each day, you will have read to your child for 900 hours!
Reading to your children is a great way to strengthen your relationship and will quickly become something your child looks forward to. The following tips and suggestions will help you get started on that important road to reading with your child:
Be an example. Let your child see you reading every day.
Read together. Spend time together reading books and discussing what you've read.
Let your child read to you. Choose an age-appropriate book together and let your child read to you.
